The new compliance challenge

Non-compliance can cause real headaches for revenue cycle managers and their hospitals. The problem is that compliance pitfalls are myriad and will likely get worse. Good intentions and commitment simply aren’t enough. Real expertise, prevention, and continuous review of new requirements and practices are essential.

Too many codes, not enough coders

With coder shortages estimated at 20 to 30 percent, finding capable coders can be tough. The need is complicated because true productivity comes not just from training but also from experience. It’s essential that revenue cycle operations have flexible, highly reliable sources of talented coders available to work remotely or on-site as needs change.
